Pre-2017
The Foundation
The origins of SFI Agri trace back to Ondo State, Nigeria, where our founder, Olasunkanmi Owoyemi, began his career in the agro-commodity sector working at Sunny Owo Ventures Nigeria Limited, a cocoa sourcing enterprise established by his father. Over the course of several decades, he developed a comprehensive and practical understanding of cocoa sourcing, supply chain management, and export operations — experience that would form the enduring foundation upon which SFI Agri is built.
2017
Establishment of Sunbeth Global Concepts Limited
Drawing on this extensive industry knowledge, Sunbeth Global Concepts Limited (SGCL) was incorporated in Nigeria. The company established itself as a respected and dependable operator in the cocoa sourcing and export sector, distinguished by its rigorous commercial standards, established trade relationships, and deep understanding of the Nigerian agricultural landscape.
2022
International Incorporation of SFI Agri Commodities Ltd
In 2022, SFI Agri Commodities Ltd was formally incorporated in the United Kingdom, marking the company's strategic entry into the global commodities market. The incorporation represented a natural progression — extending the operational legacy and commercial expertise of SGCL onto an international platform, with a continued focus on cocoa and a broadening portfolio of agricultural commodities.
